New Zealand Cashmere/Possum/silk blend weft.

We wanted to play around with random black and white stripes. So, the warp was made up to be half black and half white threads, which were then tied onto the loom in a random order. The idea was to weave with a single colour weft to create a stripe effect, without being hard stripes. This roll of fabric woven with a soft grey Possum, Cashmere and Silk blend resulting in fabric with a softer fall than would be had if the weft had been the same merino yarn as the warp.

Care instructions to get the best from your handwoven fabric/item:

Gently hand wash in lukewarm water using an environmentally friendly wool soap. Squeeze excess water out by hand, place in a cotton washing bag and spin excess water out in your washing machine. Lay flat to dry.

If your item develops pills (little balls of fluff attached to the item), they can be easily removed using a wool shaver, rendering your item as good as new.
